On Grand Bahama Island you’ll generally find two kinds of beaches: active and secluded. And each is captivating for its own reasons. Gold Rock Beach is home to what’s known to be called the “Welcome Mat.” As the tide recedes, it leaves a long stretch of ankle deep water where visitors can walk as far as the eye can see.
