Cahaya Bulan Beach, Kota Bharu, Kelantan

Cahaya Bulan Beach or Pantai Cahaya Bulan is one of the famous beaches in the state of Kelantan, Malaysia. It is located about 10 km from Kota Bharu and a landing area Japan to attack British troops on December 8, 1941. At one point, this beach called Pantai Cinta passion, a name allegedly given by a British soldier while he was on this beach during World War II. At that time, the soldiers are suffering because of unrequited love. Some local people still use the old name was on this day, although they prefer to refer to this beach as the PCB.

The coastline is 1.2 kilometers. This beach is famous for its long, wide area, with beautiful sand and clear water. Ru row of trees and coconut trees also add to the beauty of this beach. Therefore Pantai Cahaya Bulan has become a popular picnic spot among local families, especially at weekends. The beach is equipped with facilities for visitors, there are hotels, chalets, camping sites, restaurants and stores, and public toilets.

The trip to this beach from Kota Bharu will take visitors through the traditional Malay town. This is an important area of handicrafts in the country for printing batik, songket weaving, and making kites and brass.
