Barra da Lagoa beach is in a small fishing village in the city of Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. It is situated at the mouth of a tidewater channel flows either in or out of the Island's sizable lagoon (lagoa).

• Barra da Lagoa is also one of the safest places to learn to surf in Brazil.
• There are no big rocks, sharks or deep holes and the water is usually below chest deep.
